Kim White
Junior High Language Arts
My teaching journey has taken me through a variety of roles—from teaching collegiate math at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to leading online courses with Kaplan University. For the past two years, I taught Geometry and Algebra 2 at Westside Christian High School. Before that, I homeschooled my two kids, which is where I really fell in love with helping students feel confident in their learning.
Following the Lord’s leading, my family and I moved to Oregon a little over two years ago. My husband runs his own digital consulting agency and serves with local ministries like CityTeam and Portland Rescue Mission. We have two kids: Elle, a junior at Westside Christian High School, and London, an eighth grader at Lakeridge Middle School. As an extrovert, I love being around people—supporting my daughter at soccer and track meets, cheering on my son in basketball, or spending time with friends and family.
Teaching is one of the ways I feel God has called me to serve. I love creating a classroom environment where students feel supported, connected, and excited to learn. Being part of their journey and cheering them on as they hit new milestones brings me so much joy.
