Alex Lessler
6th Grade Bible Teacher
I am the Lead Pastor at Willamette Christian Church, a dynamic group of Jesus Followers here in West Linn. I earned my degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute. For nearly two decades, I have been pastoring in the Portland Metro area at various churches. My work has centered on teaching Scripture, equipping leaders, and helping people of all ages grow in their relationship with Jesus. I also spent 2 years in Fuller Seminary’s Sticky Faith cohort—a leading research initiative focused on how faith takes root and sticks from childhood through adolescence and into adulthood. I am deeply passionate about individual spiritual formation but also family formation and building a healthy family system.
I have been married to my wife, Fallon, for 14 years and we live in Beaverton with our four daughters—Scarlet, Isla, Lennon, and Marit. This will be our second year at SFS, and it’s been an incredible blessing for our family. I’m grateful for the chance to be in the classroom this year and to walk alongside your students as they grow in faith, wisdom, and confidence in who God made them to be. More than anything, I want your students to experience the love of God—not just learn about Him, but encounter Him in a way that changes everything.
